Happy Randoms

Just a collection of photos from the past week here on Candlestick Farm.
The big fella, always happy to come in from the paddock in the evening for a feed.
A slightly humorous moment when we..........ok.........l .......left the TV controls on top of the wood heater!! l love the smell of burning plastic!
The only place to be on a hot afternoon. Under the Walnut Tree with a book and a cold glass! This particular glass was cold water....the second sitting of the day in the late afternoon was a G&T!
Lilli  looking not too happy about the new crazy front room....
And Pushka very much in LOVE with the new crazy front room......she just happened to be on the wrong side of the glass!
A beautiful view on my early morning walk looking down the mighty Huon River
And just as the Sun comes up...peeking over the hills on the other side.
And home to stunning light  shining into the house when l get back. Beautiful!
And last but never EVER least.........Max....the worlds most irritating pony...........
With further proof below....just in case you should ever doubt me!!!

The Orchard

l happened across this photo on the computer the other night. Geoff sitting around a fire in the orchard.
This is the orchard today with the fire being in the exact same spot. l know it is the difference between Winter and Summer but.......lt's hard to recognise it as the same place! Did l really plant all those trees???
l think when Geoff and l are old (er!) and grey (er!!!) we will be completely surrounded by forest ,fuchsias.....
And grape vine!
And a photo too cute not to share. Sisters,  Dibley and Hazy Jane...

New Garden!

l have (rather insanely really) decided to expand the garden. Not that it's massive or tiny , l just would like some more .Which is where the insane bit comes in... More to mow, more to weed.....
So l pulled out the side picket fence....
And shifted it out into the middle of the orchard
The Cherry Tree off the veranda will be duck and goose poo free and enclosed by fence all the way round!
All gone!
Not that l have actually DONE it yet! It was all sort of propped up with bits of wood to give me and idea what it will look like. The ducks and geese will be on the other side of the fence only, as well as the huge amount of time they now spend in their pond in the front paddock. Hopefully they won't miss sitting at the bottom of the veranda steps!
More gates needed!
And more pickets than what l have currently have......which means....more painting! ( sigh!) l think it will look lovely though when it's all done...even though it means l do have a lot more lawn to mow!
But there will be room for Lavender, Pentstemons and lots of other beautiful plants!
Can't wait!

The Music Room!

99% finished! Just the tiles on the coffee table to go!  It's crazy,  over busy, overfilled, cluttered ........all those things.....too many dinglys, too many danglys...most peoples worst nightmare in fact!!! l love it!
Every corner is chocker block full!
With a beautiful view to boot!
Lots of new shelves ..........
On both sides of the fireplace..
Plants.....
AND my outrageous lamp!!
There is stuff  absolutely everywhere!!
Just about everything l have ever collected is now in this one room!!! Much to Geoff's probable joy!!!
And yes......candles galore!
The Cat loves it too. She has found her new bed!
 Very happy with it indeed!

Summer Garden

The first flush of Spring is now well and truly over with most of the beautiful fluff fading away. Left are the bones of the garden to carry us through Summer.
Seaside Daisies, always magnificent!!!
Hidden tea light holders.. Guaranteed colour all year round!
Peeking out down the driveway
My favourite corner...
The house is in there somewhere!!!
The foxgloves are still here but starting to struggle a bit!
And this lovely blowsy old rose never seems to flower again after this gorgeous first (and only !) flush!
The hebes flowering like little crazy things!
And the first Poppy. They were late this year. We are only just starting to get them now. Always so pretty though and worth the wait!
