Nosy Cows!

Walked out into the orchard after work yesterday with yards of chicken wire, hammers, nails, wire, gloves...., armed to the teeth to build a fence to keep my little molested ducklings safely away from the others and there they all were together happy as anything!
l have no idea how they got out and why they are suddenly "OK" to hang out with! They are sticking pretty close to Mum and the worst culprit is the other black duck but as far as the geese go and the other ducklings its no longer a problem! They have been all together today although l did notice tonight that l think the little girl might lose one of her wings but she still seems healthy and happy.

We have had nothing but rain and wind here! Will we get a Summer? I'm not complaining, although l would like to get our hay in the shed nice and dry!! The wind yesterday evening split one of our cherry tress in two so the goats benefited from it and were quite delighted!!
This afternoon we let Poppy and Blue out of their paddock into the driveway. They had a lovely hour or so going up and down, stretching their legs. (running cows are rather ungainly!!!) . When they came up into the yard they were so nosy! Everything got thoroughly checked out. There were a few tense moments when Poppy wedged herself between the Mercedes and the Nissan and decided to turn around between the two (the cars wobbled slightly but that was all!) Then she went up the side of the shed and the Nissan where it was way too narrow to turn,so she executed a very steady reverse and emerged with not a hair out of place!!!
