Pookie!!!

Today Treeka got a new kennel! l saw it advertised for only $30 so quickly snatched it up today. She needs somewhere warm and cosy for cold days when we are at work. l had been looking at $200 ones from the Pet Shop so was very chuffed with my $30 bargain! She seems to like it too!!

And this morning we added Pookie to our clan!!! She is a 4 year old pure bred Romney.She was a very small runt, bottle reared from a baby. Being a 'proper' breeding establishment, having a small stunted ewe in their flock wasn't the ideal but as she was dearly loved she had always stayed there. Every year however when the feed drops off during Summer ,the owner would start to grumble about this 'imperfect' ewe eating valuable grass!! l got wind of this and offered her a new home. The Breeders wife was very happy and delivered her this morning. She settled in straight away without even a murmur! She jumped out of the Ute, walked over to the tree where the tribe were all asleep and sat down next to Nigella and she's still there fast asleep!! She's a sweet thing and very tame so a nice addition to our herd (and free too!!)

Freshly shorn and possibly not the most beautiful of sheep... she will fit in well!
