Poor blog!

So ignored at the moment! No real reason really. Not much happening here combined with sleepy evenings in front of the fire and dark early mornings rushing around feeding the masses!
Always time for a bonfire though! 

The same evening along came torrential rain which has gone on all day today with more to come. Not a good day for a picnic on our local foreshore!

It's a goats life....

It's a hard life being a fat overfed goat on a warm sunny Winter's day! Where to sit??? Where on EARTH to sit when young upstart goat has taken the big round chair and all that is left is the small sloping uncomfortable rock. Where on EARTH does she put her stomach!! It all just sort of...hangs!!

Of course for Toggles the solution is obvious.... you short shift the young kid OFF the block and take residence there instead. Heaps of room to let it all hang out here!

She can even suffer the indignity of having her photo taken......studiously ignoring all of course!

Just as long as she can sleep in the sun.....

And do absolutely nothing.................

 Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!

 

Duck on a Cold Tin Roof!

We woke up this morning to an abysmally cold day!!!
And a duck on the roof!!!! This is a bit unpleasant considering that's where all our drinking water comes from! She will be getting one wing severely trimmed very shortly!!!

A sudden cold snap after a week of heavy rain turned the roads into ice rinks this morning and froze everything solid.

 Our newly painted little red hay wagon cheered everything up no end though!

And this week has been all about chairs! l have had two on lay by these past few weeks and managed to pay them both off this weekend. The first one the cat loved! Green soft and velvet. Puuuurfect for sleeping on in front of the fire...

And the second one......................well l don't think anyone loves it in this household except me!!! But how many people can say they have a solid BRASS chair in their house???? Except maybe the Vatican?? Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy.... so it's maybe a little Italian...but l love it.....................it's certainly different!

Nice weather for Ducks!

Torrential rain and biting wind.......This morning NO ONE was going outside!!!  ....Not the horses......

l went to put them in the paddock and they just stared at me like l was mad! l succumbed and left them sharing a hay net of hay.

Not the goats!!! They have all snuggled down for the day in their nice warm little shed, surrounded by hay too!

 And not the chooks!!!!! A good day to be inside all round!
