The Gate Maker

l am quite proud of my gates! This is the second one l have made. This gap has been needing a gate for a long time now so this morning l gathered my pickets and scrap pieces of timber and made one!
If it looks a bit wonky it is because it's tied to the posts with baling twine....(what would we DO without baling twine??.)..........The challenge NOW will be to get the hinges on!  Don't be surprised if the baling twine remains in place for 'a rather long time!!! ' It's always the little jobs that get us!!
Some of the timber l used was a bit warped but l don't mind. l think it's lends itself to the character of the gate!!!
The sheep who were on the other side of said gate seemed suitably impressed  and watched me most studiously. They DID make life difficult though as they kept breathing over my shoulder and l had to be extra careful where l knelt...............!!! Hello Lala
 Louise....
Fingal....
And the chickens!!! l did feel popular!
And the last of the daffodils. They have been amazing this Spring.. The ones down the drive are still going strong under the shade of the Blackwood trees. It's always sad to see them go for another year. Just beautiful.
