Finishing Touches

The bathroom has had all its extras and pretty bits put in! l think we have about two things left to do then it is completely finished! Pretty amazing for us!! We have a chandelier.. (of course!)...pictures, plants, plinths and a curtain!

Big Girls!

The goats are now all grown up girls. Big goats too! Toggles especially. No time is it more noticeable then when they decide to stand next to you..................

Old Treek

The other day l noticed Treeka curled up in the garage where Geoff's ute usually sits. It was about 30 minutes before he was due to come home from work. She must curl up there in the afternoons so she can see him as soon as she possibly can when he gets home!!

And of course being deaf she has no idea when l creep closer...........

And closer.............

And closer!

Yup...... Still snoring..........

Bath time at Candlestick Farm!!

Today was B-Day!!! At last after almost 5 years we could have a good long warm soak in our very own bath tub!!! A big difference from May last year when we pulled our white pristine modern bathroom to pieces!

Luckily we are more than happy with what it became!

So tonight out came the candles!!

Large and small!

A few cheese and biccies............

And a couple of glasses of wine!

 And a bath! (((Geoff carefully fuzzed out for modesty purposes!!!))

Just lovely!! Oh and Brownie points for those of you who DO notice something not quite right in this last photo. Blurry or not!!

 

 

 

It's in!!

We now have a fully functional bathroom! Hooray! Been a long time coming but so worth it now it's done! And no.....this isn't our bath! It's a possum who has been eating us out of house and garden these past few weeks! Finally caught!!( two of them in fact over two nights) and carted  out into the bush for a second chance of life AWAY from our Geraniums! This was a big old thing. Very placid and happily chomped away on carrots and a handful of grain as it patiently waited in the cage for our bath to be installed before Geoff could take it away!

Mark our lovely Plumber arrived and the work began!! Plug installed outside and levels set!!

Then into the bathroom it went!!

Luckily they are not very heavy!

Settled into place ...........

Then the tricky stuff began!

Lining up the waste trap and getting the legs even.

With Geoff holding the bath so Mark didn't get squished!!

No! This isn't Mark after he WAS squished!!

There wasn't much room to work in!

Lucky he's only skinny! He had a lot of bending and reaching into very small spaces!

But before long it was in......and the tap was turned on!!

Into our fabulous new bath!!

Absolutely love it! It just needs the pictures, towel rails, (all brass like this chair!!) and some new bath mats put in and it's done!

We can't use it till tomorrow once all the silicones have set........

But it will be worth the wait!

Well done us!!

l just hope this little relocated Possum is as happy as we are tonight! Just don't come back please!!!

 

Bath Newsflash!!! Extra Post!

The bathroom is finished!!!!!!

Well.................not 100% but enough to get the bath in tomorrow!

All the fiddly trim and finishing is done...finally!!

Everything is sanded and varnished.........

And the new sparkling tap ware is in place!

The bath has arrived...............

And we have had a sneak peek!

Looks big enough!
