Early Winter?

Well, Winter has hit with a vengeance!! More rain in the first week of May then we have had in nearly three months! The tanks are all overflowing, the creek is raging and the trees and plants are breathing huge sighs of relief ! Big winds have blown the last Autumn leaves off most of the trees but the mild temperatures have some deciduous ones still green and healthy with no inkling at all that Winter is only a few weeks away! It will be an interesting Spring!
The winds have also blown the last Quinces down  . Three hundred already. One hundred sitting in the wheel barrow with the final pick up of the remaining  to be done on Friday. l am aiming for a guess of about 600 off the one tree!
Happiest kiddies at the moment are of course the Ducks and Geese. Water ,water everywhere!  They have a joyous time collecting snails and slugs out of the garden beds. Nothing is quite as exciting as bath time though especially when they get their clean water!
They all politely take it in turns to have their baths. No pushing or shoving. They just patiently wait........ Usually ladies first!
With the boys taking the second dip!
Bottoms up!!
