Auntie Duck!

For some strange reason, the Mother Duck who hatched the four ducklings last week has suddenly decided she doesn't want to be a Mum anymore and has hopped over the fence and left her four little babies behind!

She is back with the drake and little white duck again now without a care in the world.Her four ducklings, poor little things don't quite know what to do! Luckily the OTHER duck who is in fact sitting on infertile eggs is still in the pen and they have adopted her as their second Mum! She's not really happy about it and pecks them if they get too near.

 She wont let them snuggle under her but allows them to get close enough to feel safe!

 It hasn't been cold at night so they seem to be doing ok so far! Fingers crossed!
