Shearing Day

Today was haircut day for the sheep. Due to the bad weather we penned them up the day before to make sure they stayed nice and dry.
Some were more laid back about it then others.....
Some needed shearing more then others!
Omar was none too happy about losing his rapidly greying locks!
After everyone was shorn, wormed, trimmed and primped, the great separation began! Three lambs were delivered to a wonderful home in Franklin to a lovely couple who are in need of lawn mowers for their 5 acres of grass. She was a vet nurse so l was happy to see them go to a good home.
Omar and the wether have gone up to Mum and Dads to help keep the grass down in THEIR rapidly growing paddock!
They weren't too keen to get out of the ute though!!!
Bribery and sheep nuts got Omar off in the end
It's amazing what an animal will do for food!!!!
The wether finally got the idea and took the leap of faith too in a flash of white!!!
And off they went to eat untold amounts of grass...............l hope we find them tomorrow!!!!
The permanent residents of the place didn't seem too phased by the newcomers!
And back home just on dusk , a stunning evening and a job well done.!
