Poor Tassie

As no doubt you all know, Tasmania has copped a battering these last few days. Luckily the temperatures have dropped considerably and fires are slowing down. It's certainly a chilling reminder of the importance of having a Fire Plan. Geoff and l are adamant we would stay and defend. There is no way on earth l could ever hop in the car and say to all our animals 'see you tomorrow folks.... good luck.....'. Stories now start to emerge of great sadness and great bravery. No doubt there will be more to come. Here in the Huon we have so far (touch wood) escaped unscathed. The worst we have to contend with is the thick heavy smoke sitting in the Valley. Lucky indeed.
Even the kitchen had a weird surreal glow to it through the windows!
