A little Intruder

A cheeky young wallaby decided to sneak into the barn the other night to pinch the horses carrots! Geoff walked in and there he was chomping away! He took off into the back of the barn and hid behind some furniture before he took the opportunity to make a shoot for freedom out of the door!
((((Bad quality pic because it was rather dark!))))
It's bad enough they eat all our grass  let alone now start pinching the animal's feed as well??
What's next?........ Into the kitchen?
Then where??
And what would the dogs think??
Boggles the mind really!

Treasures Trip.

Yesterday l did the always fun Tip Shop/Op Shop Run. The very first stop was a problem as l bought a rather large piece of galvanised tin that took me half an hour to wriggle into the car and had me travelling the rest of the trip perched somewhat uncomfortably in my seat with it looming over my shoulder!!! And before you wonder what on earth it is??? It's a framed hinged piece of galvanised tin (probably the side of an old rainwater tank) that will fit perfectly over one of our hay racks to keep the rain off the hay in Winter! Sheets of tin generally run the OTHER way so to get hold of a curved piece like this already framed and hinged was a score!
Just fitted!
So anyway .....next stop l bought a lamp!.......THAT had to go in as well! The rather garish lampshade fitted in the boot ok and the overly elaborate base amazingly fitted alongside the tin! Phew!
Bit of a Nanna shade but it looks ok in our house and l will keep half an eye out for a better shade if ever one pops up ! It looks lovely in the Dining Room though AND doubled up outside for a bit of light with a glass of wine!
l then had to cut back a bit really , so reduced my purchases to this cute little outside lamp.................
And finally THIS lamp............and no......it isn't living on the ledge over the bath! It's just here for photo taking purposes!! ((((((l really do have a lamp fetish don't l??? ))))))))
This one l LOVE. And was very happy with it UNTIL l played 'swapping lampshades around'
And got to THIS which l love even more!!!
A great day out to spend only $20!

Bonfire Night

Fire Permit Season is over at long last! This means we can burn safe heaps and piles without a specially obtained permit. Down to the wetlands of our Hay Paddock we went this weekend to burn some old dead Crack Willows that we cut down several years ago.
l do like the view of the house from here, although it DOES remind me l MUST finish off the picket fence , It looks so unfinished from this angle!
It was very dry and lit up easily!
And was too hot to stand anywhere near! It was incredible the amount of heat it threw out!
Too hot for Treek!
And Lil!
It soon sizzled out enough to be able to leave and we headed off just on dark to the next one!
This one wasn't as big but took off just as ferociously!
 No idea!!
Fire Dancing l think it's called!
A couple of good fires to get out of the way before Winter!

Or this amazing Maple?
I just cant!!!

Stunning Autumn

Surely THE most beautiful time of year?? Still a bit early for some trees and the vine is not terribly red yet, but the colours are as usual just stunning.
Wet damp misty mornings!
And everything is getting greener with the odd blob of rain falling at long last!!!!
And redder!
And yellower!
No wonder it is so hard to leave for work every day!
