Walnuts Anyone?

Down they come! Hundreds and hundreds of them! More then ever it seems this year. Enough for us, the Cockatoos ,the possums, the dogs (yes they love them!) and the bandicoots.Everywhere we walk we either roll on them underfoot or crunch them into the concrete!
Geoff has set up his sorting shed in the barn!

A lot of them fall down (when the Cockies land on the branches) with their green shell still on them in parts., This has to be taken off to let the Walnuts dry out. It's a tedious process with the final result being black stained Walnut hands!!!

So they sit in racks................

And baskets...............

And then cardboard boxes, ready to be bagged to go to Market!

Never ending!
