Teatime was a different story though with Eclipse being quite nasty to the poor little thing so l have separated them into two areas. The pony in the paddock and Eclipse in his yard. It's not a big deal as very often when there is hay to be fought over some horses tend to lunge around and carry on a bit but when one is 17.3hh and the other is 11hh it's a bit of a worry!!! No doubt they will settle down. l think Eclipse is still a bit possessive over all this new found food at the moment. Feeding separately is a good practice to take on anyway!!!
So very happy chappies all round. Even the little daughter of the lady we got him from was thrilled as she got to sit on the big horse and go for a walk which she thought was just great!!! She had no fear and quite happily led Max into the paddock even though she could have easily walked underneath Eclipse's stomach without having to bend!!!
Happy kid!!
Showing off for the camera!!!
I'm in love! THey are so beautiful ... what a wonderful addition to your fourlegged family (oh, and winged family members too!).
ReplyDeleteYes Eclipse is quite stunning and will become more so! The little pony is a sweetheart (so far!!!)
