On one of our many visits to the local Tip Shop (or Recycling Shop whatever you wish to call it) we came across this rather splendid enormous bird cage. It's a bit old and rusted out at the bottom but l thought it was just amazing.......and had to have it!
It looks very at home here somehow. Maybe this house had a pet Cocky in a cage in this very spot long ago!
But no matter what the view it's sad to think some beautiful Cockatoo possibly spent its entire life looking at life through these wires.
Well, here it will be empty forever and do nothing except add a bit of character and bygone history to our front veranda!
