The Bath!!

Yesterday was the shed ,today was the bath! A cute little cast iron claw foot of undetermined age! Unfortunately l didn't get to take a clear photo of it the right way up , but all will be revealed ....one day!!! It's called Clyde (as stamped on the side when we upended it) and is painted a very racy bright red!!! And the BEST thing was....it was nowhere near as heavy as we thought it might be!!!
It took us no time at all to push it up the hay baled ramp onto the back of the ute, (All tricks learnt from carting pianos and very heavy wood heaters! )
A little big undignified but never mind Clyde!!
Once home it was just a reverse of the process. Geoff having to stand there mid slide while l took a photo (for you lot!!!!) Hence him not looking particularly happy. l said it wasn't as heavy as we thought but it WAS still heavy!!
Then......in the usual fashion of this blog looking like Geoff does ALL the work around here......he manfully slid Clyde down the rest of the ramp himself to come to a very gentle easy stop on a pallet.....
.......where it will probably live for the next 12 months!!
With a horse rug thrown over to protect him from the elements.
And what are our plans for this chunky rock solid little old bath ?? Something like this.........Hmmmmmmm.......probably not........ too many spiders!!
Or maybe this??? On a lesser scale l expect. Either way, Clyde is going to take up residence as an outside bath in our courtyard. Tucked away in a corner waiting for a stinking hot Summers day and after a hot  afternoon  fencing or brush cutting. Hitch up the hose through the window from the bathroom..........into the bath. Grab an ice cold G&T...........
Attach on a big old shower head.......................who can beat that??
Can't wait!
