Spring Lambs

First lambs of the year! Not all quite went to plan this time! Three of the girls were up at my Mum and Dad's place eating their grass, with the earliest lambing date decided on being the 14th November. We DID leave it a bit late to move them mainly because last weekend  was too wet to get the 2WD ute in there to pick them up! This morning, just hours before we were due to go and get them l got a phone call from Mum saying she had walked down to check them this morning and one had had a lamb already! !! Darn!! We persisted anyway, and went up there to decide to bring her back with us or whether we left her there for a few days. When we got up there , there was lovely Fingal hiding under a gum tree with not one..................
but two!!
One a bit yellower  then the other but still healthy and only a few hours old.
We decided to take them all home and with huge effort, lots of huffing and puffing (being mindful they could lamb at anytime!!) we got them all into the back of the ute. l had to SIT in the back with the sheep to make sure the lambs didn't get squished or separated from their Mum. NOT HAPPY!! Luckily we had a big tarp over the whole sheep cage so no one on the road could SEE me sitting in the back tray of a ute with three huge fat sheep and two teeny tiny little newborn lambs!! It was very noisy, very flappy, smelly and windy! l was NOT amused!!
Luckily these three girls know us very well and trust us completely so the move didn't faze them at all and everyone (especially me!) was happy to be back home!
This little fellow is a real cutie. l think he (yes, two boys!) is the older one.
This one is a lot quieter and maybe the younger one. Who knows!
Lilli just wants to play with them!

Lala next??
Little Girl?
Or Louise? We shall see!
