Birthday Present!

Last night l went into Hobart after work to pick up a Hall Stand l had seen in our local Classifieds. l had been down to inspect it the previous weekend and used some birthday money (lucky me!) to buy it so a double treat for sure!!! l love it!

 It's English Oak which apparently is meant to impress me? l think the seller was a bit 'miffed' at our eventual agreed selling price as opposed to his original asking price and took great pains to tell me as we slid it onto the back of the ute that l did KNOW it was English Oak didn't l?? Well l do now but l love the copper panels on it more !

AND the copper backing plates on the coat hooks

AND the little drip trays at the bottom for wet umbrellas!

So of course NOW the WHOLE hallway needs a revamp! A furniture and ornament shift around as well as new places for pictures as everything now is out of balance! Lets just add that to the To Do List!

Oh and talk about LOVE IT! Look what l found in our local Op Shop today!!! Another copper kettle but how gorgeous is this one?? It's battered, but very shiny......((((((never to be again)))))) l hear my Mother weeping............
