This morning Geoff and l decided to put in the posts for the new 'Anti Wallaby Last Defence Barrier Fence' that is going up across the driveway. This will simply be a gate and a couple of short returns with rabbit wire to prevent the little critters getting into the yard. Three holes that shouldn't have taken very long.............................Wrong!!!
Two of them were without doubt THE worst holes we have ever had to dig and trust me, we have dug a few since we have been here! Huge big boulders all crammed in on top of each other!
The holes ended up three times bigger then they needed to be just because we had to get out so many rocks!
It's sort of like some hideous tooth extraction!
They were very tight very stuck and very hard to lift out at that angle!
Phew! Got it!

It's amazing how small they look in the photos. These two rocks were big and very heavy!
Hard work for us observers!!
So after we finally dug, clawed and levered them out we got to concrete the posts in to set over night. Ready for rails and gate tomorrow. It should look great. Can't wait!
