Not a good day!!!

Today we said goodbye to the last of our guests! Hot Cross buns for breakfast and then a brisk walk in the cold down to the Rivulet. Geoff and l then had to go to work so we said goodbye to Harvey and Jazz as they organised themselves to head for the airport then onto Sydney and Adelaide respectively. Geoff's day was all downhill from there! Firstly he had a close encounter with one of our many "special" people we have in the Valley! Some people you just can't reason with or help and today Geoff met one of them! Everyone has a cross to bear and today it was his turn!!!

Then on the way home the Mercedes broke down! Just stopped in mid flow!The Timing Belt has gone. Dad came to the rescue and picked us up off the side of the road and took us home. Luckily we didn't need a tow truck as the trusty Ute managed to tow the Merc in to Franklin where we left it sitting on the side of the road until morning.

We parked it opposite the house of a friend of ours so Geoff went across the road to let him know that it was there and what had happened and could he keep an eye on it. When the man opened the door his dog came out from behind him and flew up at Geoff and grabbed him on the face!!! Luckily he didn't break the skin on his chin but did a little bit on his lip. Poor Geoff...................................

What made it EVEN worse was that the dog was an offspring of Geoff's old dog Bear.....!!
The day has ended pleasantly enough though with us sitting in front of the lovely toasty warm wood heater making the house a snuggly 22 degrees while outside shivers at 4 degrees! Pushka is happy..................

 And Geoff is fast asleep trying to forget today ever happened!
