A Gate Dilemma!

l went down to the River this weekend and came across the twig gate l made a while ago. l brought it back with me and put it in the gap under my arch! l love it! More then the other one l think which is currently away with the Steel Man being made into a PROPER gate! So do l choose newly made antique gate or free cheap home made twig gate......?? A First World problem indeed. l shall have to wait for the return of the other for a final choice and comparison!

The main reason l went twig gate collecting was in fact to find a suitable piece of wood to make a bird bath with!

l bought a few broken bird baths..........well....four actually!!!!

Only $2 for the lot and all that was wrong with them was one little birds had snapped off each of them.! Two minutes work with some glue and they are now good as new!

Do l NEED four? Probably not but the birds will love me next Summer!!

So l found an interesting piece of wood, cut one side off level..... screwed a base on to it, glued the bath onto the flat base and hung a bird feeder from the other bit. Wedged it in the ground with some stakes and l love it!

It fits perfectly into my rapidly becoming a wee bit kooky garden!

Just as long as this little minx keeps away from them....
