Holidays!

Geoff and l have just started a weeks holiday from work. As you can imagine we have a list of things to do as long as your arm so NO spending an idyllic week on a cruise ship or lying on a palm fringed beach for us!! (not that l would want to anyway!!) Of course as always ,well laid plans go to waste and our first job wasn't even ON our list!!! A hitching rail to tie the horses to. We don't have one which is a nuisance so in have gone a few posts ready for the rail across the top. 

There were a lot of rocks!!

Tomorrow we buy the top rail to go across the top.....

Next we eyed up another waiting job that ALSO wasn't on the list................this area has slowly been filled up with odds and ends to level it up with the other side.

Across the yard was 6 tonnes of gravel that was delivered on Friday to do a job that WAS one the list............. sprucing up all the paths that have got a bit sunken and tatty over the last year or so....as you can see!

Hence great big pile of path!!!

Sooooooooooooooo..................Half an hours work and it was all done! Good job indeed!

It's all looking so smart we are now seriously considering painting the barn!! (not this week....it's not on the list!!!!)

Next job was to shift three of our ewes up to Mum and Dad's place for a few weeks prior to  them lambing.

Little Girl as always was not too impressed with moving..................

But without too much ado we got them all into the ute and away for a few weeks holiday with some fresh green grass and change of scenery!

And l got to do few barrel loads of gravel as well. So far so good. On track for the jobs AND some good bonus ones thrown in! Love holidays!!
