A lovely Spring day today. l spent all of it outside (when l probably should be inside for at least a bit..vacuuming. ......dusting. All that boring stuff we never get done!!) l ignored all that anyway and created a new flower bed instead with rocks and old bits of wood.. Filled it with transplanted foxgloves , Forget -Me- Nots and Ajugas. Not sure if they will all survive but we shall see!
Lilli sat in the sun and watched me.......whilst SHE was being watched by the very grumpy Bruce the Goose! Good thing he was behind the gate! His girl is sitting on eggs at the moment which makes him very territorial, very noisy and very unfriendly!!
l also made a roof for a dog kennel we picked up at the Tip Shop a while ago! It will make a good broody box for the hens. It just needs a coat of paint on the roof now!
And l decided the Privet hedge needed a serious prune!
It's a silly hedge really. l don't know why we don't pull it out. Its such a glorious golden colour though.
It's all so easy to prune isn't it, but what a blasted job having to pick up all the prunings afterwards!!!
Then to make matters worse l decided to attack the huge rampant box hedge that has totally gone out of control!!
Looks better but l have a lot of raking up to do tomorrow!
