What's in a name?

The name of the farm at the moment is Bonnie Doon
Geoff and l don't like it very much.
Obviously to most Australians it immediately brings to mind the very funny 1997  film The Castle. Don't think we want the quips and references to the film once we move in do you??

"How's the serenity" might wear a bit thin after a while???
Bonnie Doon is also a small rural town in Victoria . Much of the original town was flooded by the construction of Lake Eildon in the 1950s. The township was relocated; some buildings were picked up and moved... some weren't. Doesn't sound like a good omen does it!.!!?
On further investigation Bonnie Doon is also a somewhat suspect town in America quote below
" The Police Department is trying to clean up Bonnie Doone, said spokesman Gavin MacRoberts.
"The Police Department has been working on improvements with the Bonnie Doone initiative, because we want to clean up the 'broken windows,' " he said "
Doesn't sound too promising does it!
On a lighter note, its also a brand of  American Ice Cream! That's not so bad!
However my favourite Bonnie Doon l have found on my 10 minute trawl of the Internet has to be this one!

Treating sewage like a rock star
Oh dear, its a bit long to explain. Basically in a very small nutshell there is this big festival in Queensland. called Woodford. Its huge.
Over four days, 35,000 people need to go to the loo., meaning the sewage system had to cope with up to 2 million litres of waste per day.
Anyway if gets very technical and talks about high-strength domestic effluent that has a nitrogen content of 70 milligrams per litre, while at Woodford the slurry's nitrogen content is 400 milligram's per litre (not sure why....)
something to do with this you beaut septic system they have installed. ANYWAY...................... The TANK
they store all this 'stuff' in is a 12-mega litre holding tank resembling a giant lake and is fondly nicknamed by the system engineers........... you guessed it.....Bonnie Poo Doon!!!! Well , not the poo bit. l added that but it might as well be hey??
So that's it really isn't.? We HAVE to change its name don't we? Not quite sure to what exactly yet , but we sure ain't  living in anything resembling ANY of the above!!

Here's a sneak preview of our beautiful driveway (with the offending name) by the way!
