Today l postponed my Hobart trip as l remembered we had 6 tonnes of gravel arriving! (groan!) It duly arrived at 10am and at 10.15am l started shovelling!
The reason for the gravel (or Scalpings) was to clean up this area we fenced off last year. Its always messy and a pain to mow. l figured if it was gravelled it would look a lot neater (and less area to mow!!!)
At 1.30pm l was still going....... the pile had become considerably smaller but it still seemed to take forever!
And l didn't seem to be getting anywhere!!!!
As a break for my poor old back l spent an hour or so fixing a new base into the old trailer we got for free a while back.
It came up quite well with an oil!
l finally dumped the last load about 3.30pm. Just before Geoff got home. It still needs packing down and a few holes filled in but definitely much tidier and a more useful area then before!
