Puzzled!

The trouble with diaries is that if you don't make things very clear on the day of the entry then it makes it very hard down the track to work out just exactly what you meant at the time!!!As blog has just reached one year old l was browsing through one of our diaries just out of interest to see what we were up to this time last year
By mistake l picked up the diary from the year before................

On November the 22nd 2010 is the following entry written by me.

Mary had a little Lamp

Lamps fry

You light up my Lamp

Dr Lampingstone l presume (obviously now we were getting silly!!!!)

Alas dear Lamp, l knew him well

l had a Lamp in Africa

Florence Lampingale

Charge of the Lamp Brigade (oh dear!!!)

While Shepherd's watched their Lamps by night (that one l remember cracked us up!!!)

To kill a Lampingbird (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Lampoon

and last and obviously the very very least........................

NOW.........the problem is .......is that neither Geoff or myself have ANY idea what on EARTH this was all about! We have good memories of sitting around the table that night and being in fits of laughter as we added each addition......but we have no idea WHY...or WHAT..........or WHAT THE??????
Was it a real Lamp? Non of our Lamps jog any  memories with us....was it a play on words? If so what word and WHY??? Total blanks all round............. which is very very annoying!!
We are getting vague flashbacks to the 'Lamp' thing being ongoing for several days (weeks maybe??) and we THINK we might have told someone else about it (what???) and maybe THEY can remember what we were on about?????

Is this what getting old is all about????
