Who is the draught horse round here????

Today l got it totally wrong!!  l spent most of the day lugging the chopped and pruned Pom Pom Tree branches across the paddock to join the bonfire heap of  Willows that we will burn one day (when the Rivulet decided to ebb back to its proper water course and not across our paddock!)

Most of the day it took me...... backwards and forwards.......... backwards and forwards with branches, wheelbarrows of twigs, etc etc and THIS big CART HORSE watched me do it all!!! SITTING DOWN!!!!

l think l will resort to tying a bit to his head collar and see if he will work in that. It was madness today me doing all that dragging while he just watched!

It looks better now though!!!

The day ended up a lovely one and l spent an amount of time leaning over the fence watching the youngest little lamb finally get her lamb legs! Up til now she has been sticking close to her Mum and only watching the other three play from afar. Now she is well and truly into the fun and games and had a great time galloping round and round dodging sleeping sheep and chickens!

Nigella just shut her eyes and hoped she didn't get run into!

Lala couldn't be bothered to move either and lay in the Sun fast asleep much to the irritation of her two hungry children!!!

And Toggles who had acres and acres to play and feed in,watched it all hanging out in the goat shed with the easiest feed option on hand in the form of hay in the hay net. After spending the entire day yesterday hiding inside from the wind and rain you would ASSUME wouldn't you that she would have wanted to spend the next day outside???? Nope!

Phew! That was hard work! Time for a nap with Mum!

And Max just hung out with the rugs on the fence!!! Daft little pony that he is!
