Another Tassie Scorcher!!!!

Day off today, got to a stunning 29 degrees! Really quite warm until the winds blew in. l have just walked into the bedroom and found our bed and carpet covered in white cherry blossom! Not a romantic gesture from my other half alas just the wind blowing it all in through the open window!
Finally eliminated the turquoise green from the toilet , its now the same yellow as the hallway. Looks much better and even bigger! l had to paint the cistern as it was also blue , think l will add to my never ending wish list a new one though!

l then got super inspired and painted the hallway. It was a ghastly pale blue...now its a sort of pinky browny terracotta. Seeing some sort of a pattern here??? l wish it did in fact look as nice as in the photo. It's not as earthy but will do for now! The door incidentally is solid Huon Pine. Its a magnificent door!! Much wider then your standard one. The paint is in very poor condition so a job in the not too distant future will be to strip it off back to its original finish.

And on our front door is this beautiful lock. Its got USA engraved in the middle so no idea if its from the original house or whether it was bought and added later on , but it is rather splendid l think!

l also manged to pot out some plants, start hanging some of our many knick knacks about the place (no idea why the first one l hung up is this rather realistic wire spider!!!!) and mow the lawns. l could do with a few more days off though l think!.
Its Show Day tomorrow so a Public Holiday for most but work for us both.
l wouldn't have minded this year going down for a peek at the Goat Pavilion! l will patiently wait for your own Huon Show in November!
