RIP Quentin

This morning l found my lovely old Muscovy Drake dead under the chook pen. He went there last night and l did wonder at the time when l saw him, if that was his chosen final resting place. He was the first animal l bought when l moved to Tassie and was of unknown age then! l had him for nearly 8 years and was well known at the local vet for having pedicures when his old gnarled feet started to give him grief! RIP old boy!
Aside from that sad incident its done nothing but rain rain rain! There is so much water lying around. Water coming out of the ground and holes appearing in the paddocks as more water forces its way out! And we  have pools and ponds in the paddocks!
Our rain water tanks are full but it still makes you wish you could harness more of it as you see it rushing in torrents under the bridge. Its not until you live solely off what rain falls out of the sky do you appreciate the importance of conserving and retaining it! Oh and the phone died! Telstra will come and fix it on Thursday. The previous owners never had a land line so l think the line is a little old and not maintained so hopefully its not an expensive exercise to repair!
Treeka enjoying the wet and mud!
