First day of November! Melbourne Cup Day too! What a great race. Loved watching those millions of dollars worth of top top quality horses all screaming down to the finish. One of the closet finishes ever if not THE closest! Impossible to pick the winner! l in fact thought the chestnut won not the bay! Two and a half minutes wait to determine the winner pretty much speaks for itself how close it was! Great race.
Not much happened here today. Made the effort to come in early as it was so cold damp and wet. Aimed for an early dinner, hot chocolate in front of the fire and good books but its now 8.15pm and we are still unfed! Looks like we will be eating as normal at 9.30pm!
Oh we did hang my weird and wonderful rusty chandelier up in the Walnut tree if you can spot it??
And a small piece of humour...! Wandered up the back paddock to have a look at the broom...two Site Managers! Can you imagine! Pushka never leaves the safety of the house or yard usually. Possum was not too happy about it and skulked in the background.
Pushka thought it was wonderful and is beginning to realise what she had been missing out on with all these forays out in the bush.
Possum tried to establish immediate Site Authority by blocking the trail and refusing to let Treek go any further!! l think this will be war!
