Spent a large part of today up at my brother's house which is up for sale. It needs a bit of maintenance and upkeep as its over a Century old.He has flown over from Sydney for a couple of days to paint it and add more nails to hold her together for a few more years!
Its an old Methodist Church and a gorgeous little place.l have always loved it!
Its quaint and quirky .............from the Etamogah Pub dunny...........
To the mosaic paver embedded into the pathway...............
The unusual and original use for the end of an old wooden and iron bench..............
And the gravestone in the garden from time long ago.................
The inside has stained glass windows...........
(((((((((Couldn't resist an arty David Bailey moment!))))))))))
And traditional Church windows in which one was possibly and supposedly meant to see the light
A small humorous moment when Lilli shot up the stairs to investigate only to discover she was too scared to come down! She went unnoticed for a while until l heard a tiny whimper and spotted her small face at the top of the stairs! Easy to run up ......................
but terrifying to run down!
So anyway we painted ,sawed and nailed and de-cobwebbed..........And ate a a delicious picnic lunch made by Ma !
Got home in time to see Geoff put the last gate on the post..... ..said Goodbye World and ended a day of jobs well done!!
UPDATE.............................There's a Possum up the Walnut Tree as we speak! Making one heck of a fuss and racket.............cage is set.. who will win...........Us.........???. or the Possum.???
Awww... but they're so cute....
