And on the subject of birds..meet the newest recruit of the Anti Eagle Task Force. Isn't he magnificent! He is a pure bred $8.00 plastic resin garden ornament! Fabulous! He stands at over a foot high and with his huge yellow eyes and pointy beak l think he will give any passing Wedge Tail Eagle the need for a second glance before he lands at OUR place! At the moment he is just inside the door of the barn on the table and every time l go in there he makes me jump! He looks like a huge cat sitting in the corner! l think l will nail him to the top of the Chook Pen where he can keep an eye on the hens!
And this just had to go on! This is Molly , my sister's little dog, No words needed. She was just happy!Tuesday, 6 December 2011
Birds of a Feather
Don't know why l just happened to be lying on the ground next to the duck pen when the three geese decided to wander out! It certainly wasn't planned! l think l might have been peering under it to check out the broody duck. Anyway when these three sauntered out l hit the button and l quite liked the picture that resulted from me lying amongst the duck and the goose poop!

Sorry to disappoint you but we've had one of these scary monsters ( the owl not your sister's dog) perched on the roof of the local church for quite a while now and it's always surrounded by scores of pigeons so I don't think a wedge-tailed eagle is going to be worried a bit by it!! Perhaps South Aussie birds are made of sterner stuff than yours??
