Flowers

l have never professed to having a Green Thumb. Quite the opposite in fact. Most things l grow for either inside or out generally die within the year! l do very much want a beautiful garden here. Its not a massive area so there is no reason why it can't be pleasant to walk around and full of bushes and flowers! l have a rule now to buy one plant every week for the garden. Just one punnet of colourful seedlings or a stand alone plant a week to place somewhere in the garden, hoping that one day they will create a profusion of colour for all to enjoy! Today l splashed out! l bought one plant AND four punnets of seedlings! No chance of getting them in the ground today though as the rain has been continual all afternoon!
Here are some gorgeous pink daises l put in last week!
There a few plants around that l literally plonked in the ground the day or so after we arrived! Mainly pot plants from our veranda at Glen Huon . l must say they are all doing incredibly well! With most flowering already even after the stress of the re pot and the move! Maybe my thumb is getting a slight tinge after all!

This was nothing but a little stick of ivy geranium only a short time ago and now its this beautiful emerald green with flowers appearing everywhere!
This is our nursery! Well actually only a part of it These are all Maple seedlings. About 50 in all!. All grown from seed. If they ever eventually get in the ground they will look quite magnificent! Anyone want a free maple tree?
And lastly l must say l am very impressed! This old chainsaw sat IN THE RAIN on the open window ledge in the shed at Watson's Road for years and years! At least 6 that l know of! Geoff insisted on it coming with us in the move even though l seriously considered throwing it out in the rubbish! He always claimed he could get it to go again! And he did! It roared into life this afternoon and made short work of this ugly dead tree stump that sits in the front garden. l was so impressed l even told him so!!!!
