Summers Day

Beautiful morning this morning. A glorious summers day! Sat outside on the front veranda and watched the hay rippling in the light breeze

Toggles loves it! This paddock isn't even going to be hayed and its two foot high!!!!

Sheep are crazy things! We have 20 acres of grass but as soon as l let the goats out of their tiny little yard where they go at night, in come the sheep! They wander in, chew the already chewed grass, stare at me through the wire as if to say "why are we here'??
They also amble intently around the goat's pen sniffing everywhere to make sure one morsel of food hasn't been left!
The little black sheep has settled in very well even though she is constantly covered in sticky little burrs we have here in abundance!
Auntie Lala leading her charges out to the paddock! We docked and ringed the poor little boys this evening. A necessary job but l hate it. l feel so sorry for them. A part of farming life l don't enjoy!!
